Jerome (Jerry) H. Manthey, Sr. Obituary (1932

Jerome (Jerry) Harold Manthey Sr. was born on March 8th, 1932 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and passed away April 22nd, 2022 in Cameron Park, California. He proudly served 22 years in the United States Air Force as a Mechanic for the Thunder Birds and Pilot in the Korean War protecting our Country. He also worked as an Inspector and Computer Engineer. He was an Honorary Sheriff's Posse Member on the Board and enjoyed doing many Fund Raisers with his wife, Ethel. Jerome was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Uncle. Jerome is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ethel Manthey; his Son, Jerry(Darcy) Daughter, Cyndy; Sister, Carol (Guell); Step Sons, Richard and Robert; Step Daughter, Wendy; Grandchildren: Danny, Sommer, Danielle(Eddie), Amber, Jerome, Elizabeth, Adam, Matt, Sarah, Brett and Shelby. Great Grandchildren: Junyor, Nick, Adler, Kaia, Austin, Hunter, Carson, Benjamin, Natalie, Abigail, Jacob, Ellie, Alex, Dave, Kayla, Xavier, Tanner, Cayden, Ava, Azalynn and Atticus. Nephews and Nieces: Tammy Guell, Tommy Guell (Barb), Theresa Claudel (Rick), Vicki Gaulropp (Jon), David Manthey and many great Nephews and Nieces: Joshua Guell (Gina), Rachelle Wagner (Justin), Samantha Thompson (Scott), Jacob Guell (Amanda), Jason Guell, Joseph Guell, Steven Guell, Roger Guell, Brian Guell, Jessica Guell; Andy Gaulropp. Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Alvina Manthey-Funk; Brother, Robert and Joan Manthey; Sister, Betty Brester; Brother-in-Law, Thomas Guell; Son in law- Bob Feucht, Daugherty in Law - Nancie, Great Grandson, Kingston; Nephew, DeWayne Guell; Nephew, Timothy Guell; Niece, Dawn Guell; Great Niece, Theresa Alina Guell and Uncles and Aunts. Jerome loved to say that they had 22 Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. He traveled the world flying his "Mooney Airplane" with his wife and will be greatly missed for his Mechanics Classes and wisdom. He was loved by many and his stories will be forever remembered by his close friends and family.
