Aldon Karlin Obituary (1924

Aldon Karlin quietly passed away at home on Sunday, March 17th, 2019, his devotion to family supported him and ultimately gave him peace. Al was born to the late George and Rose Karlin in Beulah, ND on August 8, 1924. He had 7 siblings and was a corporal in the Marines during World War II. After the war, he married the love of his life, Genevieve Schirado on August 18, 1946 in Beulah, ND. Al had a long and successful construction career building hydroelectric and flood control related projects throughout the US until retired from the Army Corps of Engineers in 1979. He is survived by; his beloved wife Genevieve, twin brother Rolland Karlin of Helena MT, his son Curt Karlin of Cool CA, daughter June Freestone of Aldie VA, grandsons Marc and Eric Karlin both of Cool CA, Joel Karlin of Lotus CA, granddaughters Melinda Gilbert Fairfax VA, Jennifer Lyerly of Front Royal VA, great grandchildren Chase and Dylan Lyerly of Fairfax VA and Rachel Bennett of Fairfax VA.
