Alex was born on August 10, 1932 in Los Angeles, CA. His parents were Eva Robles and William LaBeaux. He married his wife Dolores in Oakland in 1952. His work ethic was evident at a young age: he worked at the American Can Company and as a school janitor, both while putting himself through college and raising a family. He first attended Oakland City College and then graduated from San Francisco State University. Alex impacted the lives of countless students in the area. He taught high school Spanish and Drafting at Monte Vista High School in Danville for 30 years. He also taught hundreds of teens to drive as a Driver's Training Instructor. He invested time and energy into coaching soccer and football. He founded the San Ramon and Mustangs Soccer Leagues, and he coached the Monte Vista High School soccer and football teams. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed playing golf and traveling with friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Armand and his parents. He is survived by Sister Elizabeth Looney, his wife Dolores, his children Catherine, Debra, and Alex. He loved spending time with his six grandchildren. Alex was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be remembered as a family man who deeply loved God. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 1:00 pm on June 30 at Lakehills Covenant Church, 7000 Rossmore Lane, El Dorado Hills, CA. His soul is with his Lord in heaven but his body will be laid to rest at Green Valley Cemetery in Cameron Park.
