Becky Ann Halsrud

On October 29th, 2021, Becky Ann Halsrud passed away peacefully with her family at her side. She joins her husband Bob Halsrud of 50 years in heaven. Born in Iowa City, Iowa, to John and Margaret Cornwall. Becky was the older sister to Steve and Nancy Cornwall. Becky attended the University of Iowa for 3yrs studying Journalism. Becky traveled west with her husband to Las Cruces, New Mexico where she would fall in love with the food and southwestern decor. She would travel further west with her husband, ending up in Simi Valley, Ca where she would buy their first home, raise two daughters, and create long lasting friendships with her neighbors. After her husbands passing Becky would move to Placerville to be close to her two daughters and 5 grandchildren. Becky was proud to be a mother and grandmother. She loved her family and pets with all her heart. Becky was always an artist. Her love of drawing turned into a passion for painting. Becky is survived by her daughter Amber, her husband Mike, her daughter Amanda, her husband Jeff, and her 5 grandchildren Zoey, Myah, Cody, Ben, and Anna. They will share plans for a Celebration of Life ceremony at a future date. Mom, Missing You Your tenderness and loving ways still get me through my lonely days. The picture carries in my mind with love that stands the test of time. You helped me find my walking shoes and taught me lessons I still use.
