Carol Sodestrom

Carol Joan Sodestrom, 72, of El Dorado Hills, California, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025.

Carol was born in San Francisco, California, on April 28, 1953 to the late Ranald and Jean Sodestrom. Carol grew up in Orinda, California and graduated from Miramonte High School in 1971. She earned her bachelor’s degree in outdoor recreation from George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. For many years she provided computer support for school districts. She lived most of her life in California, notably Orinda and Loomis. She loved to hike and backpack all throughout California, especially in the Sierra Nevadas. She was especially fond of camping, white water rafting, and biking. She was a fan of baseball and rooted for the San Francisco Giants. She had a love for animals and had many pets throughout her life, including cats, dogs, and birds. She was active in the many churches she attended like Fair Oaks Church in Concord, and Bayside Church in Granite Bay. She received Christian baptism and professed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

She is survived by her daughter, Staycie (Robert), her granddaughters, Petra and Carmen, her brothers, Dirk (Julie), Andy (Kathy), and sister Cathy (Bruce), and many nieces and nephews.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon her.
