Creatura Navarra Apruebo was the youngest of 8 children of Gavino Lozada Navarra and Catalina Villar Navarra. She had 5 sisters and 2 brothers (Felicitas, Federico, Dolsora, Auxiliadora, Pastora, Consoladora and Rizaldo. She was married to Gonzalo E. Apruebo (deceased) and is survived by her 4 children: Marilyn A. Yelo (married to Efraim Yelo, deceased), Nenian A. Golez (married to Elpidio Golez), Katherine N.A. Johnston (married to Gary R. Johnston) and Gonzalo N. Apruebo Jr. (Fiancee Rodalyn Daniel); 4 grandchildren - Maynard A. Yelo (married to Leslie Chu), Sheryl Lee Y. Garcia (married to Steve Garcia), Rachel Y. Galaraga (married to Brian Galaraga) and Lauren Nicole A. Johnston and one great grandchild, Siena Yelo. Creatura was known as Neneng to her beloved husband as well as her parents, sisters, brothers and cousins. However, when she came to the United States, she adopted a new nickname. Her friends at Siliconix Electronics firm where she worked for a few years, who called her 'Suzie' because they had a hard time pronouncing her name. However, her old time Filipino friends still called her Neneng or Creatura. Creatura was a business woman, real estate investor, and entrepreneur. She and her husband, started a company named CREGON Marketing in Quezon City, Philippines. Their manager was their eldest daughter, Marilyn. The company name took after her name and her husband. The company promoted and distributed the products of Proctor and Gamble, Colgate/Palmolive , and other companies in Manila and neighboring cities. She and her husband also co-founded a factory named KMN chocolate which was a powdered drink like a Nestle or Ovaltine version. The initials were after her daughters' names. She operated a mini grocery store, a restaurant as well as apartments and house rentals. She had some college education, studied chemistry in Philippine Women's University as encouraged by her husband. However, she had 2 children by then so she just concentrated in being a mother. She managed our rental properties including a 12-unit apartment that she and Dad built from Dad's salary. You would not know that she was the owner for she didn't act or look like one. She was very quiet about her accomplishments. Friends say she was a humble person. She was always happy. She loved gardening, spending hours in her yard, tending to her vegetables and flowers. Her other passion was playing guitar and piano. She did not have a formal training but taught herself. She taught her children some Filipino folk songs by just singing as well as playing them. She had a knack of just listening to the music and able to play the music without reading the notes. She loved life and was always grateful for what our Lord had blessed her. She was an active churchgoer. She had a big heart and was always willing to help. She always put her loved ones first before herself. Most of all, being a wife, a mother and grandmother was her best accomplishment. She always put her family first. She was a very hands on with her children and always willing to help. What a blessing to have known her!
