Cynthia Hunt

Cynthia Lynne Hunt passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, at The Pavilion Memory Care Facility in El Dorado Hills, following a courageous two-and-a-half-year battle with dementia.
Cindy was born on February 19, 1948, in Sacramento, California, to Oscar and Geraldine Johnson. She is survived by her brother, Oscar Johnson. Cindy attended San Jose State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design. Throughout her life, she was known as a loving, creative, tennis-playing, golf-swinging friend, wife, and mother whose warmth and joy touched everyone around her.
She was the devoted wife of her junior-high sweetheart, Dean Hunt, for 51 wonderful years until his passing in April 2021. Cindy was a proud mother to her daughters, Daphne Impey and Abby Quade (Brian), and an adoring Nana to Kollin Quade, Hannah, Hailey, and Harlow Impey. Cindy and Dean shared an extraordinary life together. They were longtime members of Serrano Country Club in El Dorado Hills, where they enjoyed golfing with family and friends. Cindy found great happiness at their mountain home in Lake Tahoe, where the serenity of the lake and mountains brought her comfort and joy. A gifted artist with a natural eye for design, Cindy loved decorating homes, painting rooms, and wallpapering in her early years. She had a special talent for creating beautiful party décor, a creative spirit that now lives on in her daughters and granddaughters, who have inherited her artistic touch. She will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, strength, and the love she gave so freely. She is deeply missed and will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Green Valley Mortuary, 3004 Alexandrite Drive in Rescue, California. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow at the mortuary.
