After a long illness, E. Dale Grant-Kendall beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, left this world to be with the Lord on April 23, 2010. Dale is survived by three children, Gordon (Jeannie), Sheri (Derek), Raymi (Jaime),eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, many relatives and friends. Dale was one of 12 children raised in Leesville, Louisiana. She moved to Chicago where she met and married her husband Tom (deceased). Eventually, they settled in California. Dale was a master cook and baker. She made a mean gumbo and delicious lemon pie. Dale was an expert seamstress and quilter. She was embraced with the fulfillment of joy when listening to music (especially her David Foster CD). Dale loved to talk about current events and was a fierce debater. She was a skilled writer and spent much time researching her family history and ancestry. Her favorite TV show was "Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader." Dale's strongest passion was for her grandchildren. She loved them more than life. Everyone received unconditional love from Dale. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.
