Danielle Reda, 52, passed away on Wednesday December 22, 2021 at Mercy Folsom Hospital after a valiant battle with cancer. She left this world in peace surrounded by her friends and her only child, Joshua Robbins. Danielle was born in San Diego, CA to both the late Judith Parascandola and Ronald Reda on March 7th, 1969. She grew up in San Diego and San Jose CA. Upon graduating Santa Theresa High School in San Jose, she went on to graduate from San Jose State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Science (Clinical Laboratory Science) and a minor in Chemistry. She took on multiple positions in her field including Technical Publications Manager and her most recent as a Clinical Lab Supervisor. While she enjoyed her work and was quite successful in her career, she would tell you her greatest achievement was being a mom. She enjoyed entertaining and was referred to by many that had the pleasure of attending any of her gatherings as 'the hostess with the most-ess.' She enjoyed cooking, crafts, gardening, and camping. She took great pleasure in nature and the simply sitting and observing birds and other wildlife brought her a lot of happiness. When she had free time, she would often volunteer at the local cat rescue. Danielle had a strong desire to see the world and experience as much of what life had to offer. Before becoming a mom, she traveled multiple times to Europe, Taiwan, Greece and Turkey. Her terminal illness did not deter her from traveling even during a pandemic. In that time, she was able to click off a few more of her bucket list items like swimming with the Manatees in FL, New Year fireworks overlooking Diamond Head in Hawaii, spending relax time at the ocean, and countless trips to her happy place in Walt Disney World and Universal Studios in FL. She has created and left us with many amazing happy memories that will stay with us forever. Danielle is survived by her son, Joshua Robbins, and her sister, JoAnn Reda There will be a Celebration of Life for Danielle sometime in the spring. More information and details to come at a later date. Please share your memories or stories with us on this site as it would be a great comfort to her remaining family. "For all of us you gave your best. Now the time has come for you to rest. So go in peace, you've earned your sleep. Your love in our hearts we will eternally keep."
