Dorothy Reuter

In loving memory of Dorothy Reuter, who entered eternal rest peacefully Saturday, March 30th 2024 while dancing to Lawrence Welk all the way to the love of her life, Walter Reuter, patiently awaiting her with our heavenly Father.

Dorothy was a kind, caring and loving person. Her laughter and smile were contagious. She was a strong woman facing every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she so graciously touched.

She was born Dorothy Reeson Kirkpatrick July 3, 1933, in Ontario, Canada to Robert and Vera Kirkpatrick. She married the love of her life, Walter Reuter in 1951 with his two sons, Walter and Donald. A quick succession of an additional five children followed.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Reuter, sons Donald G. and Kirk D. Reuter and her younger brother Donald Kirkpatrick.

She is survived by her five children, son’s Walter G. (Linda) of Idaho Falls, ID. Allen (Connie) of Holyoke, CO. Jason (Sherri) of Sandpoint, ID. Wayne (Delight) of Folsom, CA. Daughter Karen (Tim Murphy) of El Dorado Hills, CA. This is accompanied by twenty grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of donations we ask that you spend time with the people you love. Reach out to those who you may not have told how much you love them recently. Remind them of how much they mean to you.
