Erica Busch

Erica Jeane Busch, age 37, of Folsom, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep at her home on February 28, 2026.

Erica was born on September 8, 1988 in Sacramento, CA to Jeffrey and Laurie Busch.
She grew up in Folsom and El Dorado Hills, and attended Oak Ridge High School.
Throughout her life she worked as a veterinary technician. She was known for her love for animals that she demonstrated daily in her career at Crossroads Animal Hospital, and with the dogs that she dog sat for in her home.

Erica was most proud of her son Malakai, and was a loving mother with a kind and giving heart, incomparable sense of humor, and a deep love for her family.

She is survived by her beloved son, Malakai Williams, her mother Laurie, her father Jeffrey, her grandmother Joy “Baca” King, her siblings Stefani Smith, Melissa Cvitanovic, Jennifer Zartler, and Alex Busch; as well as nieces and nephews Morgan, Maddie, and Peyton Graham; Jake, Chloe, and Ella Cvitanovic; Avery, Peter, Leo, and Finn Zartler, and extended family members and many friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Ernie and Jeane Busch, Glynn Allen, Dave King, her aunt Larre Borel, and aunt Tracey Dawkins.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 8 at 12:30pm at Green Valley Mortuary in Rescue. A reception for close friends and family will follow at her sister’s home at 4540 Gresham Dr, El Dorado Hills.

She will be deeply missed by all the people and animals in her life, and forever remembered. Her laugh, love and spirit will never be forgotten.
