Our beautiful mother, Frances Currie Pfefferle, passed from this world to continue her journey on Tuesday, July 27th, 2021 surrounded by the people who cared for her, holding her daughter's hand; someone she loved. Her husband, Ronald John Pfefferle, her children, Donna Cervantes, Sue Rushing, Kim Warren, Shawn Coldren, Franny Nelson, Jon Pfefferle, their families, and her nieces and nephews, survives her. Frances came to America from Glasgow, Scotland, where she was born on December 28th, 1937. She arrived in New Jersey at the young age of 17, a bonnie wee lassie taking her first steps towards the American dream. It was a rainy night in Kearny as my mother stood at a bus stop, unaware she would soon meet my father, a young handsome man who would offer his friend's sister a ride home. On one of their first dates, my father said to her, "Stick with me, I'm going places." and their story began. Over the years, they were blessed with five beautiful daughters and as they began their life's voyage across America, a son. Frances always created a lovely home for her family with each and every step they took across the states towards their dreams of California. She collected many cherished, life long friends along the way. Frances was a lover of art, in all of its forms, cooking, travel and the natural world. She found comfort and awe in the words of books, the stroke of a paintbrush and in the majesty of the trees. Her life took her around the world where she filled her eyes and soul with the beauty and wonder of culture and the land. She was a celebrator of life. As Frances leaves this world, we celebrate her journey with memories of love. Please join us as we remember Frances at 3pm on Friday, August 6th at Green Valley Mortuary in Rescue/Cameron Park.
