Rescue, California

Genevieve “Genny” Arietta, passed away after a hard-fought battle with Glioblastoma.

Born in San Francisco, she later moved to Vallejo, where her family owned and operated Rudy’s Supper Club. There, she developed a lifelong passion for cooking, baking and hospitality.

After retiring from the restaurant, her family moved to El Dorado Hills, where she opened a Travel Agency. She owned and operated El Dorado Hills Travel for over 40 years. She always said one of the greatest honors of her life was planning meaningful journeys for her clients all over the world.

She was a very active member of her community. She took on many roles including but not limited to Honorary Mayor of El Dorado Hills, President of Gold Country Lodge Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, and State Treasurer for the Grand Lodge of California (OSDIA)

In her free time she enjoyed trying new crafts and recipes, playing Bingo, spending time with her Chihuahua, and spending time with family.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina, her grandson, Robert, her sister-in-law, Jeanette, Niece, Jenny Hower (Jim) and many family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to the Glioblastoma Research Organization, or your favorite charity of choice.
