Giovanni \"John\" Accettura Obituary (1922

Giovanni "John" Accettura, 94 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family. John was born September 7, 1922 in Sannicandro di Bari, Italy and was married to his loving wife, Raffaella in 1947. They celebrated 70 years of marriage in October. John, known for his calm demeanor, was a hard-working family man who always put others first. He was an avid gardener who could make something beautiful grow out of nothing. He served in the military in Italy during WWII and thereafter spent many years working his ranches in Italy. In 1966, he immigrated with his wife and children to America. He spent 25 years working at Almaden Winery in San Jose and poured his heart and soul into all that he did to support his family. He is survived by his wife, Raffaella, his children, Jack (Maria), Anna (Vince), Pat (Jennefer), Tony (Maricela), 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and family members in Italy. Rosary and visitation will be held Thursday, December 29 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Green Valley Mortuary, Rescue, CA. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church in El Dorado Hills.
