Hector, retired as a civilian for the Navy after 36 years. He traveled all over the world, from Guam to Europe to Hawaii. He enjoyed the opportunity to explore each country not as a tourist, but as a local. He spent time before each trip learning the language and enjoyed surprising his family with various mementos from his travels. Hector met the love of his life, Estela Preciado in August 1965 at a dance in San Francisco where Hector was celebrating his birthday. Estela gave Hector a fake number but somehow he found her and the rest is history....they married on January 22, 1966. Hector was extremely proud of the family he and Estela created, his children, son Hector Jr., daughters Barb Rodriguez and Debbie Burns. He adored his grandchildren Ashley, Anthony, Arianna, Natasha, Matthew and Alexa. He loved his daughter in law Sandra Rodriguez and son in law Todd Burns as though they were his own. Hector will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends.
