Helene Rae Vorce-Tish of Cameron Park, California passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in Loomis, California. She was born March 3, 1928 to Palmer and Adelaide Vorce in Detroit, Michigan. She was the loving wife of William David Tish (deceased) and the mother of Gail Wohlscheid (Steve) and Karen Theobald. She is survived by her grandchildren Steve Whohlscheid and Shannon Kelly and Great Grandchild Averie Wohlscheid. Helene earned a Bachelor's Degree and Teaching Certificate from Michigan State University. She completed her Master's Degree at The University of New Mexico. Helene was an accomplished Teacher, Author and internationally recognized Journalist. She was an active member of the First Episcopal Church in Cameron Park, Ca and a Group Leader of the Northern CA Assoc. of the Transfiguration. Helene was active in the Girl Scouts of America both regionally and nationally. She was an Officer for the Masonic Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #258 (Portland, Michigan.) She was a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution #682191. Helene lived an accomplished life and will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Her service is at The Faith Episcopal Church, 2200 Country Club Dr, Cameron Park, Ca on Friday April 13, 2018 at 12 noon with a reception immediately following at the church. A committal ceremony will take place at 2pm @ The Green Valley Mortuary/Cemetery/Cameron Park.
