James Robert Cobb

James ("Jim") Robert Cobb, 89, of Rescue, California, died peacefully on Sunday, February 27, 2022. Jim was born on September 10, 1932 in Ft. Worth, Texas and moved to Avenal, California with family as a young child. He attended Avenal schools, graduating in 1951. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era and then had a successful 40 year career with Chevron before retiring in Rescue. Jim is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruby Jo, daughter Gloria Granniss (Paul), son Jerry Cobb (Lachelle) and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There are no services planned. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that you donate to the charity of your choice.
