Rescue, California

Janice Mary Liberti Resident of Cameron Park, California 1932 - 2022 Janice Mary Liberti , age 89, passed away in Sacramento California on January 10, 2022 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Dementia. Janice was born in Wisconsin Rapids, WI in May 1932. Her biggest dream in life was to be a wife and mother. She just wanted to have a lot of babies to hold and she got her wish. After completing high school, she married Anthony Winkler (who passed away in 1986). They started their family in Wisconsin, but ultimately settled in the San Francisco Bay Area to raise their 5 children: Debra, Janel, Tony, Paul and Michele. In addition to her full time job as a wife and mother, Jan worked as a pre-school director. She also did clerical work for Unisys and later for Solano County Municipal Court. She was a longtime supporter of the SPCA. After retirement she spent time as a volunteer for Kaiser Hospital in Vacaville and later joined the El Dorado West Republican Women's Federation where she served as Secretary and Publicity Chair. Janice is survived by her loving husband Philip, who she married in 1976. Jan and Phil loved their dogs and rescued many of them over their years together. They enjoyed life with an ever-expanding family of grands: Jema, Samuel, Christine, Patrick, Tara, Anthony, Shauna, Christopher, Patricia, Matthew, MiKayla, Jacob, Joshua, and greats: Andrew, Julia, Evan, Michael, Anna, Daniel, Luke, Faith, Mila, Gavin, Elsie, Kennedy, Audrey, Cameron and another on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oswald and Lucille and her sister, Jean (Sr. Janel). A Catholic service is being planned to be held in the coming months. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Janice's name could be made to the SPCA.
