Jean Elizabeth Winfree, aged 93, of Cool, California, passed away on June 15, 2022, after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing. Jean was born on April 8, 1929, in Huntington, West Virginia into Effie and Paris Jones' family of 5 children. She helped raise her siblings and maintained a strong bond with them throughout her life. She spent most of her early years living in the State of Virginia. In 1953, Jean met and married Kyle Winfree, going on to have two daughters, Cheryl and Rebecca. In the late 1960's, they moved their family across the country to live in the Sacramento area. Jean was a faithful Christian which shaped her values and her outlook on life. She loved God, her church and her family and supported them throughout her life. Jean had a genuine interest in the lives and interests of other people which was evident if you ever had a chance to meet her. She loved her property in Cool and in particular her gardens, where she enjoyed spending time. Jean loved her fur babies Benji and Bella and will be reunited with them at the Rainbow Bridge one day. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kyle, sister Joanne and brother Robert. She is survived by her daughters Cheryl Wilson (Mike) and Rebecca Almeida (George) and twin brothers Don and Ron, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, relatives, friends and wonderful neighbors in Cool. The family requests that donations be made to the American Stroke Association (www.stroke.org) in lieu of flowers. There will be a viewing from 2:00-3:00 PM on Thursday, June 30th and service at 3:00 PM at Green Valley Mortuary in Rescue, California.
