Joan Valkema Obituary (2023) - Rescue, California

Joan Valkema, of Cameron Park, California, born November 5, 1949, in San Francisco, California passed away on February 26, 2023, in Sacramento, California, after a long illness. Joan was a loving mom to Patrick Hansen, grandmother to Emma and Erin Hansen, sister to Glenda Bennett and aunt to Andrea Blanchard and Elizabeth Davis. Joan was preceded in death by her father Ernest Bennett, her mother Farrell Bennett, her brother Paul Bennett, and husband Maurice Valkema. Over the years Joan loved her many pets and will be missed by "Sassy," her loving cat. Joan's family would like to thank her friends and employees of First American for their expressions of sympathy, it was very much appreciated.
