Jody Hallums

It is with deep sadness but enduring hope that we share the passing of Jody Laine Hallums, who went to be with Jesus on Sunday September 20th, 2026 after a hard fought battle with Stage 4 ovarian cancer. Jody was a devoted mother, loving wife, adoring grandmother (also known as Jojo), and beloved sister and daughter. Most importantly, she was a child of God and valued her faith in Jesus Christ more than anything.
Jody is survived by her husband Scott, her daughters Paris and Emma, her son Abraham, daughter-in-law Brienna Hallums, son-in-law Kelly Roe, and precious granddaughter Adeline Hallums. She also leaves behind her dear older sisters, Jenea Poysti, Jereen Williams, JeAnn Savard Birdsell, Jaime Eichler, beloved brother Jason Record, and parents Jim and Patty Record. As well as many other family members and friends who were continuously blessed by her huge heart for family.

Above all else Jody was a woman of God who put her hopes in heaven rather than on Earth. She invested her time and energy into family and ensuring that everyone always felt loved, seen, and taken care of. Nothing brought her more joy than spoiling her children in every way possible. Her favorite place in the world was at home where she could spend quality time with her family and host holidays, birthdays, and everything in between.

While our lives will never again be the same without her physically here with us we take comfort knowing she is at peace and spending the rest of eternity with Jesus.

A celebration of life will take place at the Hallums’ Family home on September 26th, 2026 at 12pm.
