Joseph was born in Placerville, California. He was raised in the area of Gold Hill where his Italian grandparents settled in the early 1900's. Joe attended El Dorado High School and after graduation went to an automotive school in Denver Colorado. He worked for many years at Jackson Ford and for the past several years worked for Neillo Motors in Elk Grove. Joe loved nature and was an avid gardener. He enjoyed hiking in the Sierras, as well. His many other interests included sports, music and travel. One of Joe's fondest memories was traveling to the village in Northern Italy where his grandparents were from and visiting relatives who currently live there. Most importantly, Joe was a very kind and compassionate person. He had a remarkable enthusiasm for life and was able to maintain a positive outlook in the most difficult times. Joe was devoted to and loved his family and friends. He was greatly loved in return. He will be deeply missed by us all. Our Family would like to thank the staff at Sierra Hematology and Oncology under the direction of Dr. Javeed and the staff at Mercy San Juan Hospital for their compassionate care. We would also like to thank the management and staff at Neillo BMW in Elk Grove for their generosity and friendship. Joe greatly appreciated the support that the company and his co-workers gave during his illness. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy please direct any donations to Snowline Hospice, a cancer research organization or a favorite charity, in Joe's name.
