Rescue, California
Joseph S. Warren of El Dorado Hills, passed away in the early morning of August 24th, 2011 at his home in El Dorado Hills, California. A former Army WWII veteran, who was always very active in the community, whether it be volunteering at community events or regularly donating blood to help others for many years. Joe leaves behind Judy Newton, who he loved dearly, including his adopted family of Jan Feuerbach (Mark), Ed Newton, Jill O'Neill (Bob), ten grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Jim Warren (Jean) and sister Louise. Joe grew up in Seattle, Washington and moved to Pleasant Hill, California to continue his career in the transportation department for Kaiser Steel. He worked in Oakland California, and traveled internationally with his career. He later went to work for Bechtel in the San Francisco area for five years, and then decided his heart was with Kaiser, so he finished out his working career with Kaiser Steel. Joe retired in 1989 and enjoyed his free time mostly on the golf course or traveling. In 2005 Joe and Judy moved to El Dorado Hills to be close to their family. Many happy times and memories were formed at Four Seasons, where Joe was often found playing billiards with his buddies in the lodge, or driving around in his golf cart. Additionally, Joe enjoyed rooting for his favorite sports teams "SC Trojans Baseball", ORHS Cheer, Soccer, Whitney Wildcat Football, Midland University, and Pacific University Football. Joe loved going out to lunch, and visiting with his many friends and neighbors in Four Seasons. Joe will be missed dearly by all of those that were lucky enough to know him. He always had a smile and a rousing story to tell. Rest in Peace Granpa Joe... You might be gone, but you will forever be remembered in our hearts..
