Joshua Daniel Perry was born in Midvale, UT on August 14, 1981. He grew up in the Seattle, WA and Sacramento, CA areas and graduated from Ponderosa High School in Shingle Springs, CA. He was the oldest of seven siblings; six brothers and one sister, who looked up to him proudly as their big brother. He loved everything about music. He was very talented on drums, piano and guitar and could play just about any instrument he picked up. He attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Arizona. He then opened up Unit 6 Recording Studio in Santa Fe Springs, CA where he successfully recorded over 100 bands. He didn't care for the fancy things and noise of the world. All he needed was nature and people to love. Early in 2011, he found a passion for bike riding when he went with a few friends on a bike ride down the coast of California. This is where he felt the peace he always spoke of, and he soon decided he would drop everything and follow his new passion on a year-long bike trek around the country. He left on his journey in August of 2011 and had many adventures riding among nature and meeting new people to love. In March of 2011, he had reached North Carolina where he was involved in an accident that ended his journey. He is survived by his siblings, proud parents, and many family and friends that will miss him dearly.
