Karen (DeLong) Fleming of Shingle Springs, California, formerly of Topeka Illinois, passed away peacefully at home March 11, 2019. She was born, on June 5, 1945, to George Russell and Rocena Francis (Howder) DeLong in Peoria, Illinois. Karen married Robert Fleming on June 20, 1975, in Manito, IL. She is survived by her husband Robert of 44 years, son Danny Kemper of Daytona Beach, FL; daughter Tammie (Dave) Sloan of Placerville, CA; daughter Laurie (Brent) McClure of Folsom, CA; son Jeff (Laura) Fleming of Orangeville, CA; daughter Kelley (Jordan) Davis of Sacramento, CA; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, sister and three brothers. Karen taught landscape painting classes in her younger years and continued painting for her own enjoyment. She was a dedicated employee of Grant Union School Districts for 15 years. Karen loved spending time with her family, enjoyed gardening in her multiple flower gardens and raising and showing her Pomeranians on the AKC circuit.
