KAYE BARBARA KRUMENACKER Age 60, lost her struggle with recurrent large B-cell lymphoma at home on April 3, 2010 in El Dorado Hills. Born in Sacramento and raised locally, Kaye graduated from Norte del Rio High School in 1967 and Sacramento State College in 1971. Kaye globetrotted through the 1970s as a flight attendant for Transamerica Airlines, touching upon most continents of the world. She switched direction upon graduation from McGeorge School of Law in 1982, and prosecuted criminal cases for the DA's Office in San Joaquin County. Kaye hit her stride in 1991 as Senior Staff Counsel handling employment law cases statewide for the DMV. She believed she had the best job in the state, taking pleasure in the challenge of pulling a case together and the excitement of taking it to trial. A resident of El Dorado Hills for 15 years, Kaye was a practical person who lived without regret, and valued life, her profession, the great outdoors, logical thinking, controversy and stimulating conversation, and seldom abstained from dispensing unsolicited free advice. More than words can ever express, she cherished her friends and extended family, her animals, and most of all her son Daniel. Pre-deceased by her parents, Louis John and Dorothy Agnes (Silva) Krumenacker, Kaye is survived by her son, Daniel Warren Tolley of El Dorado Hills, sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Aubrey Frith, and niece and nephew-in-law, Kimberly and Jeff Yeo of Sacramento, aunt Helen (Silva) Weinkauf of San Francisco, aunt and uncle Betty (Silva) and Norman Dike of Hollister, aunt Helen (Krumenacker) Kriehn of Placerville, many dear friends and beloved cousins, and Sissy the Cat. In lieu of flowers, and in keeping with her priorities, please consider making a contribution in Kaye's memory to your favorite animal charity.
