Kimberley Ann Reed was born May 30th, 1966 in Oakland, California and left the constraints of this world on February 13th 2014 at her home in El Dorado Hills, California. Kim is survived by her parents Jacqueline and Rick Reed, her husband Russell Schultz and her children Amanda and Aaron Schultz, as well as her sister and brother in-law Teresa Reed and Randall Weiss and her Grandmothers Jimmie Schuh and Merle Reed. Kim had a wonderful childhood filled with adventure and long, fun-filled days in nature. She grew up in Citrus Heights where she was Salutatorian at San Juan High School in 1984. Kim attended Sierra College where she met Russ and then transferred to Sacramento State where she earned her Accounting degree. She earned her Certified Public Accountancy license and worked for the Bureau of State Audits as a California State Auditor. Kim later returned to Sac State for her Masters Degree in Taxation. Kim enjoyed a very successful career in accounting, consulting, project management, and operations, with her most recent employment at Blue Shield of California. Kim and Russ made their home in El Dorado Hills with their two children, Amanda and Aaron. Kim enjoyed spending time with her family and friends boating and water skiing, capturing moments through photography, and living out many adventures as an avid reader. Kim's love for learning about other cultures resulted in an affiliation with a foreign exchange student program. Through this association, she and Russ became a host family to students from Belgium, Germany and Brazil. Services in celebration of Kim will be held at Green Valley Mortuary at 11:00 a.m. with after service gathering at Kim and Russ's home at 3661 Amer Way, El Dorado Hills.
