Laura Ann Marley (Charon), age 68, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, at her home in Cameron Park, California.
Laura was born in San Francisco and grew up on the coast in Half Moon Bay, where she lived for 30 years. Her life was filled with purpose, generosity, and deep love for her family and community. She devoted much of her career to the insurance industry and later became an independent broker for LegalShield, where her integrity, work ethic, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression. In 2013, she was honored as Chamber Member of the Year, a recognition that reflected her dedication and service. Laura was also an active member of the San Carlos and Half Moon Bay Chambers of Commerce, always eager to support local businesses and connect people.
Above all, Laura cherished her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jeffrey Marley; her sons, Jeffrey Marley, Jr. and Jason Marley; her sister, Vicki Lynn Klimenko, her husband Robert, and their children Stephen, Brian, and Lyndsay; and her brother, Larry Delano Charon, Jr, his wife Suzanne, and their daughter Alyssa. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Betty Lou Temby and Larry Delano Charon, Sr.
Laura lived life with enthusiasm and heart. She was an avid sports fan who proudly cheered for her San Francisco Giants, 49ers and Warriors. She found joy in the outdoors—whether gardening with her famous green thumb, skiing, boating, enjoying water sports, or simply soaking up the sunshine. Family meant everything to her, and time spent together was what she treasured most.
Laura’s life reflected the words she loved:
“Train your mind to see the good in everything. Positivity is a choice. The happiness of your life depends on the quality of our thoughts.”
She truly lived by this message, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, optimism, and love.
