Lynn Ellen Losch, 55, of Rescue, California, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6 after a 15 year battle with cancer. She was born in Ventura, California on March 1, 1958 to Mary and Henry Clopper. Lynn graduated from Ventura High School in 1976 and received her Bachelor of Science in Zoology from University of California, Davis in 1980. She was married to James Losch in 2004 and together they lived in a beautiful home in Rescue, California. Lynn was an accomplished and decorated athlete and student, having pitched a perfect game in the national championships in the Miss Softball America ('78), elected into the Sacramento Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame ('78), and still holds countless UC Davis softball records, all while graduating Valedictorian of Ventura High, and Cum Laude from UC Davis. She also was selected to participate in NIH research in Washington DC and eventually became a Clinical Lab Scientist. Above all, Lynn was a thoughtful and loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend to all. She was survived by her beloved son, Ryan Henry; her husband, Jim Losch; and, her three brothers, Richard Clopper, Paul Clopper and Robert Clopper. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in El Dorado Hills, California. In lieu of flowers or other donations and in keeping with family tradition, the family is requesting to "just do a good deed for another," per Lynn's wishes.
