Mary L. Robinson, the daughter of Albert and Bertha Long, was born on November 30, 1925 in Miami, Arizona. She lived with her family in Mesa, Arizona for most of her early years. In December of 1941, Mary was playing piano for an event at the First Baptist Church of Mesa when she first encountered a soldier serving in the US Army Air Corp named Don Robinson. A relationship blossomed and on July 18, 1944, Mary and Don were married in the church where they first met. Together, they settled in Stockton, California in 1946. They would spend the next 70 years together in California, and lived in El Dorado Hills during the final 10 years of Mary's life. During their 70 years of marriage, Mary and Don raised three sons, Ray, Doug and Brian, and one daughter, Mary Ann. Mary and Don were always active members of various churches where they lived, and developed many long-lasting friendship within their churches and communities. For at least 25 of their years together, Mary and Don led the music for their churches, with Don directing the choir and Mary playing the organ. Church, and her relationship with her Lord and Savior were always an important part of Mary's life. Along with her religious activities and friendships, Mary's family and love of music were the joys of her life. Mary passed away peacefully on April 16, 2015 in Roseville, California and is buried in Green Valley Cemetery, Rescue, California. She was predeceased by her brother Albert Long, her sister Ann Atwood and her eldest son Ray. She is survived by her husband Don, Ray's wife Joyce, son Douglas and his wife Valerie, daughter Mary Ann Pivetti and her husband David, and son Brian and his wife Kristine, along with 9 grandchildren (Benjamin, Christopher, Katherine, Kristina, Kyle, Rebecca, Amy, Maeve and Tara) and 5 great grandchildren.
