Our family lost the greatest man in the world - our dad, loving husband of 53 years, father of 3 mischievous boys and grandfather of 7 wonderful kids. He was the toughest man we ever knew. Two (2) tours of duty in Vietnam protecting our country and 30 years of protecting the citizens of California as a distinguished CHP officer. He was our dad, our mentor, our friend and most of all our hero. He started his fight against pancreatic cancer almost one year ago. It was a valiant effort and two months ago, it looked like he beat it.... but cancer has no friends. It came back with a vengeance and claimed him at 3:54pm on June 26, 2019. For those of you that had the pleasure to have known him - smile for him. He went out laughing and telling jokes- always a comedian. We only hope to leave the legacy he has with his family and friends. Hole in one, checkered flag/winners circle and riding the big wave to heaven. We love you Dad, Aloha Big Kahuna, the world is a little dimmer but heaven is a lot brighter.
