Myla Jane Young Obituary (1944

Dr. Myla H. Young was a prominent neuropsychologist and a beloved partner, mother and grandmother. After growing up in St. Petersburg, Florida, she eventually relocated to northern California, completing her PhD at the California School of Professional Psychology and working for many years as a neuropsychologist specializing in forensic work. She worked closely with Jerald Justice, her partner in work and in life. After retiring in 2010, Myla and Jerry moved to El Dorado Hills, California, where Myla spent time writing and enjoying living near her daughter and son in law, Virginia and Mike, and their daughters, Kate and Kyra. Myla passed away on November 18, 2013, due to sudden but severe complications from inflammatory lung disease. She spent her final days at home surrounded by her loving family. Myla's strength, compassion and dedication to her family and to all she undertook will continue to inspire her family, friends and colleagues.
