Myriel Elisabeth Taylor Obituary (1918

In Memory of Myriel "Satch" Elisabeth Taylor December 17, 1918 - October 7, 2012 Obituary Myriel slipped quietly away while surrounded by love ones on October 7, 2012 after a brief fight with cancer at the age of 93. Her family was her greatest joy and she was known as "Nannie" to her 7 grand children and 8 great-grandchildren. She loved living in Lake Oaks with good friends and neighbors for 32 years, enjoying the view of the Sierras. Staying independent in her home was one of her greatest wishes which was made possible by the wonderful care of Cindi Mortimer. Over the years Satch served her community being involved in the California Federated Republican Women, Placerville, The Shakespeare Club, Treasurer and two time President of the Widowed Person Association of California (WPAC) of Placerville, LDS Family History Center, Charles Brown Elementary School, Indian Creek Elementary School and many other auxiliaries and clubs. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Sue Taylor Howton, son-in-law David Howton, and son, Tim Taylor, daughter-in-law Sue Taylor and her grandchildren, Amy Elisabeth Howton, Cody Grant Howton, Brian Timothy Taylor, Benjamin Corey Taylor, Tracy Michele Taylor Folda, Lindsey Jeanette Taylor Webb and Jamie Elisabeth Taylor and her great-grandchildren, Tylee Belle Folda, Reagan Elise Folda, Miller Keane Folda, Lyndon Mae Folda, Cumorah Taylor, Rivers Taylor, Sidon Kent Taylor, Quincy Taylor and several nieces and nephews. Satch is preceded in death by her husband Herbert W. Taylor, sister Charlotte Arline Smith McCullough and brother Donald Roy Smith and many other loved ones and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who she has served, loved and befriended. A private memorial will be held by her family. Condolences and memories can be posted on this website.
