Norri Kim Caplan Obituary (1958 - 2025)

Norri Kim Caplan, born on October 24th, 1958, in Granada Hills, CA gained her eternal wings in Roseville, CA on February 20th, 2025. She was only 66 years old when she passed away due to complications brought on by an auto immune disease. One of five children of the late Stan and Nan Caplan, Norri leaves behind her beloved siblings Sherry, Marcie, Geoffrey, and Todd. She is survived by her "Fab 4" children: Jaemin, Micah, Cora, and Heather; as well as her 4 grandchildren - Ryker, Kai, Rylan, and Tucker. Born and raised in Granada Hills until the age of seven, Norri's family later settled in San Jose, CA, where she attended Bagby Elementary, Ida Price Middle School, and Branham High School. From 9th-12th grade she participated in Badminton, Basketball, Gymnastics, and Swim. From a young age, Norri knew her sole purpose in life was to be a mother. At the age of 24 she welcomed her first son, Jaemin, followed by her son Micah, and then her two daughters Cora and Heather. She was not only their mother but their fiercest protector, their guiding light, and their biggest cheerleader. As a single mother, she worked tirelessly to provide for them, never missing a single sporting event, game, or competition - and was their number one fan. No matter how busy life became, her love remained steadfast, her presence constant. Aside from being a Mother, her second favorite title was "Grandma." Whether it was reading books together, playing games, taking long walks, or snuggling, her love for her grandchildren was infinite. Norri was a beacon of light, her very presence illuminated every room she entered. Her smile and wit were contagious. Her heart was the size of the sun, bright and warm enough for all to feel its light. She was a mom to all - her home and her arms were always a revolving door to any and all who needed love and comfort. A light lost, but a light loved. The world is a little dimmer without her, but how lucky were we to experience life alongside her? Her love remains woven into the fabric of our lives. May we feel her presence walking beside us as we navigate our lives ahead.
