Willard "Pete" Peterson, longtime resident of Shingle Springs and the original owner of the Village Inn "Shingle Hilton", left us at 4:40 A.M. on January 26, 2017. He leaves behind his loving wife Cindy Peterson of 41 years, his four children; Jan O'Flynn, Shane Peterson, Tracy Travis, and Kole Manno, two stepsons Matt and Mark Brock, fourteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. He was a loving father and husband. Pete lived a full life and was successful in his many endeavors. He was a Veteran of WWII, a General Manager of Northwest Schools, turned a small town cafe into a thriving dinner house, raised, trained and raced top quality Quarter and Thoroughbred horses and was a top salesman for Information Display. Although his passing leaves an empty space for us, it is comforting to know that his spirit will, as always, rise to the challenge and he will find peace going home. If you wish to contribute, family requests flowers or a donation to animal rescue. Please share in the celebration of Pete's life, February 24, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. Reception to follow, please RSVP at 530-677-3726.
