It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Edward Duncan at the age of 51. Ronnie passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 17, 2023. \n\nRonnie was born March 29, 1972, in Castro Valley, CA to Edward and Barbara Duncan. Ronnie and his sister Jenny spent most of their growing years in San Ramon, CA. He was such a happy boy, so full of life. In his youth he was a cub scout and enjoyed soccer for many years. He went to Neil Armstrong Elementary, Pine Valley Middle School and his high school was Cal High, class of 1990, where he played football for a couple of years. In the past few years Ronnie has been working in the tile industry, following in the family footsteps.\n\nRonnie was such lovable person. To know him was to love him. Ron had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh, all the time. He was a giggler. His nieces and nephew nicknamed him “ Uncle Snorey”. You can simply guess why. Ron was just a big kid, he loved to be silly and have fun with all the kids in the family. The kids loved when he was around, because he was so much fun. Ronnie loved his family so much and they loved him.\n\nRonnie met the love of his life, Amy Nichols and started dating in March 2020. He had known Amy since grammar school. They were engaged February 14, 2021 and were looking forward to the day they got married. Amy and Ronnie were soulmates for life.\n\nAmy and Ronnie lived in Tracy, with their 3 dogs. Ronnie loved those dogs so much. They were a huge part of his life. Animals were such a great passion for Ronnie. He had such a gentle, loving way with them.\n\nRonnie was a huge Raider fan and enjoyed several games with his dad and Jenny. His other love was his beautiful, “candy apple red Harley” and he was so proud of it. He would ride his bike whenever he got the chance. Ron was also a big fan of his microbrews. He loved to share his new brews with his dad and stepdad. He will also be missed by Field Work.\n\nRonnie is survived by his fiancée, Amy Nichols, his father, Edward Duncan, his mother, Barbara Lamb, Stepmother, Tracy Duncan, Stepfather, Christopher Lamb, Sister, Jennifer Gotchall, Brother in law, Jason Gotchall, Half brother Samuel Duncan, Buck Duncan, Stepsisters, Megan Farrell, Charlotte Lamb, Rebecca Lamb and Step Brothers, Robert Farrell, Thomas Lamb, his nieces, Haley Gotchall, Reese Gotchall, Kamryn Gotchall and nephew, Kaden Gotchall, His aunt, Jeannie Griffiths and his aunt and uncle, Bill and Mary Brookes, as well as many cousins, friends and their 3 dogs, Bailey, Missy and Littles (Shameagle the Beagle)\n\nRonnie was predeceased by his grandparents, Gene and Reba Duncan, Robert and Beulah Brookes, aunt, Susie Duncan-Garcia.\n\nRonnie will be laid to rest at Green Valley Cemetery, Rescue, CA, at a private family service. A celebration of life will be planned, at a later time.\n\nRonnie will be forever missed by those who knew and loved him.
