Sara Katherine Hollister was born July 14, 1976 in Sacramento, California. She passed away on March 30, 2022. Sara is the beloved daughter of John and Jean Hollister, a loving sister to Laura Hollister, and devoted aunt to Nathan Levi and Annie. Sara delighted in her puppy, Libby. Sara was raised in Paradise, Ca. She was on the high school track team and was a star soccer player. Camping at Pine Grove Resort in Cobb, Ca, biking and playing her saxophone were pastimes she enjoyed from a young age. Sara received her Bachelor of Arts Degree and Master's Degree in Management Information Systems and Accountancy from Chico State University California. While in college she spent two summers working and living in Italy; she enjoyed traveling Europe. She even went skydiving. Sara worked for a German international software corporation, SAP. One of a few women in her field, Sara recieved awards and was well liked and respected by her colleagues. Sara was known for her love of family, the arts, her generous nature, and quick wit. Sara arranged funds for victims of the 2018 Campfire in Paradise, Ca. She enjoyed attending the San Francisco Symphony, Opera, and art museums. She loved swimming, watching soccer matches, Star Wars, and photographing nature and wildlife. She recently started her own photography business. Most of all Sara loved Christmas. Her home was always decorated beautifully and she took great joy in spoiling her niece and nephew. Sara will be dearly missed.
