Sherie Lynn Porter Obituary (1960 - 2022)

Sherie L. Porter was born on February 23rd, 1960 in Lancaster, CA. She passed away July 4th, 2022 in Folsom, CA after she lost her 3 1/2 year battle with melanoma. Sherie was survived by her mother Carol, brother Sean, sister-in-law Chris, nephews Michael and his wife Lindsey, Kyle and his wife McKenzie, and great-nieces Olivia and Mia. Sherie dedicated her career to retail sales at Nordstrom for 32 years. She worked in the suits and sportswear department and always prided herself on being one of the top performers. Sherie treasured spending time with her relatives and extended family. Among her favorite memories were traveling to Gilroy to be with her mother Carol, attending her nephew's baseball games, and playing pinochle at family reunions. Sherie loved playing games and had a competitive spirit; she enjoyed winning and preferred not to lose. Sherie's love for her friends and family will be missed dearly. She was infamous for sending greeting cards for every holiday and never forgot anyone's birthday. She loved sending the singing cards. Sherie enjoyed baking cookies to share with her family, coworkers, and friends; she made the best chocolate chip cookies! Sherie was an old soul who cherished the small things in life. She loved outdoor walks in the sunshine, collecting seashells from her time in Hawaii, chatting with her family on her corded telephone and watching movies on VHS. Sherie named all her cars and always referred to them as a 'she'. Sherie cherished her blue Camaro that she drove when she was younger, 'she' was her favorite. Sherie's friends & family will miss her deeply. Her ashes will be spread at the Valley Oak Scattering Garden at the Green Valley Mortuary & Cemetery.
