Shirley Katherine Eliasen

Shirley K. Goodwin - Eliasen passed away peacefully at her home in El Dorado Hills, CA on February 21, 2021. Shirley is survived by her daughter Rena Williams (husband - Ben Davidian), El Dorado Hills CA and son William Goodwin (Wife- Louie), Reno NV. Also 5 grandchildren (Jennifer Koehl, Rebecca Ferguson, Sheila Sprout, Karla Goodwin and Kevin Tran), 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Roy Goodwin, her son Ken Goodwin and her second husband Jim Eliasen. Shirley was born May 6, 1930 in San Jose CA to Virginia and William McDade. She grew up in San Francisco where in 1949 she met and married Roy Goodwin. They moved to Sunnyvale California where they raised their 3 children. Shirley was accepting and welcoming to all she encountered. She loved to laugh and always had a quick joke, twinkle in her eye and great sense of humor. She loved spending time with family and friends, including playing bridge with her beloved partners, entertaining, and celebrating life. She was a true inspiration to many and demonstrated how to live life to its fullest. It's difficult to say Shirley's name without smiling, she was a grand lady "the best of the best"!
