“Look at it and think about it”

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Stewart Edward Skiff, who left us on October 15, 2026, under the compassionate care of hospice. Born on August 8, 1942, in Dallas, Texas, Stewart's journey was one marked by love, dedication, and unwavering support for his family and community.

Stewart was the beloved son of Stewart Skiff and Audrey Reed. He was preceded in death by his parents, his cherished son Mike Skiff, and his mother, Audrey Reed. He leaves behind his devoted wife Myrna, with whom he shared 64 wonderful years of marriage, creating a life filled with adventure, love, and cherished memories. Together, they raised three remarkable sons: Christopher Skiff and his wife Laura Skiff, Steven Skiff, and the late Mike Skiff. Stewart's legacy extends to his grandchildren—Mark Varoz and his wife Alicia, Katina Skiff, Jeremy Varoz, Katie Skiff and her husband Carlos, Jenna Skiff, Joshua Skiff and his wife Danielle, Karlina Skiff, Dimitri Skiff, Nicoli Skiff, and Noah Skiff—and his great-grandchildren: David Hartsock, Josephine Varoz, Fiona Varoz, Sabrina Varoz, Dean Skiff, Riley Skiff, and Renzo Palma.

Stewart's career was a testament to his intelligence and drive. He excelled as a Service Manager for Toyota and later ventured into entrepreneurship with the establishment of a successful used car business and a rental car agency. His most notable professional achievement was the creation of software for rental car agencies, veterinary practices, and beauty salons, a testament to his innovative spirit.

For 20 years, Stewart was an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Roseville, where he found spiritual nourishment and friendship. He was also a dedicated member of the Rotary Club of Folsom for 30 years, embodying the Rotary spirit of service above self.

Stewart was a man of diverse interests and talents. An avid hunter, he cherished the serenity of the mountains, especially the Crystal Basin in California. His passion for photography led him to Morro Bay, capturing the beauty of wildlife alongside his dear friend George. Stewart's love for classic cars was a shared joy with his sons, as they rebuilt them from scratch, creating lasting memories.

Known for his strength, both mental and physical, Stewart was the pillar of his family. His humor, kindness, and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need defined his character. He was a devoted husband and father, always prioritizing family gatherings and shared adventures.

A memorial service to honor Stewart's life will be held on November 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Robert H. Miller III Rotary Clubhouse, located at 7150 Baldwin Dam Rd, Folsom, CA 95630. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice, in remembrance of Stewart's generous spirit and commitment to helping others.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Mercy General Hospital and Asbury Park Rehabilitation Center for their compassionate care during Stewart's final days. Stewart Edward Skiff may be gone, but he will never be forgotten, as his memory lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
