Therese Alice Lambro, loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, passed away at her home in Shingle Springs, CA on July 28, 2018 at the age of 80. She was born in San Francisco, CA to Margaret and John ("Joe") McCarthy on October 9, 1937. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Arthur Lambro, their children Lisa Salter (Jim), Lori Tuthill (Alan), Ken Lambro (Elena), and Joe Lambro (Betti), eight grandchildren, Sara, Molly, Zach, Emma, Jake, Claire, Finnegan and Oliver, and her sister, Joanne Proft (David). Therese grew up in San Francisco, the daughter of a SF police officer. She attended Presentation High School and went on to train in the Radiology Department at Stanford Hospital where she became a licensed and registered X-Ray Technologist. In 1959 she began working with her dear friend, J. Gwynne Wilson, M.D., Radiologist. She helped to open and run two radiology offices in Daly City, until the practice closed in 1988. Therese married the love of her life, Arthur ("Art") Lambro, on February 2, 1963 in Old St. Mary's Church in San Francisco where they had met. The two were inseparable. Together, they raised their four children in Daly City, and later San Mateo, where they resided until 2000. Upon retirement, Therese and Art fulfilled a lifelong dream of moving to the Sierra Nevada Foothills where she lived until her passing. Therese's greatest passion in life was her family and friends. Her greatest love was hosting holiday dinners and enjoying the company of her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved cooking, baking and entertaining, and she and Art would often have overnight guests who were treated to their warm hospitality. She was a generous and compassionate person who spent many hours researching family genealogy and keeping in touch with her large circle of family and friends. She truly loved them and was dearly loved in return. Friends and family are invited to a funeral service on Friday, September 7th, 2018 at Holy Trinity Church, at 11:00 am, located at 3111 Tierra de Dios Drive, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762. Immediately following the service, there will be a lunch reception at the church "Thank you for blessing us with a lifetime of tenderness and love. You will continue to live on in our hearts forever and will be dearly missed."
