Thomas W. Rennie, age 70, passed away on January 18, 2021. Tom was the beloved husband of Fatima Rennie, loving father to Tom Jr. (Billy), Michael, Eric, Monica, and Papa to his cherished granddaughter Ava Mackenzie. Thomas W. Rennie was born in Herlong, CA on September 25, 1950, but grew up in Manteca, CA. He was the loving son of Frank and Mary, and brother to Frankie, Jim, Don, and Bruce. He graduated Manteca High School in 1968 where he was a track and cross-country star. After attending Delta College, he joined the Air Force to be stationed at McClellan Air Force Base, Sacramento, CA. He married the love of his life Fatima in 1971. Tom and Fatima bought their first home in Folsom, CA where they raised four children. In 1986, Tom and Fatima moved the family to Shingle Springs, CA, where they have resided since. At the age of 41 Tom retired from the Federal Government where he worked at the Sacramento Army Depot. After retirement Tom started his own Trophy Business, Gold Country Custom Engraving. Later in his years Tom played Santa Claus, doing events at Burkes Junction, and many organizations throughout El Dorado County. (Due to COVID, masks will be required, temperature checks will occur and social distancing) Funeral Services will be held at Green Valley Mortuary & Cemetery on January 29, 2021, 3004 Alexandrite Drive, Rescue CA, 95672. A public viewing will be from 11am to 1pm. Indoor Chapel Service will be private from 1pm to 2pm. There will be a live streaming for the service on the Green Valley Mortuary Website at that time.
