On Saturday October 30th, Tommy Lee Pruitt passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born on July 27, 1960 in Napa, California. He was raised in Hayward, California where he attended and graduated from high school. Tommy served in the US Navy aboard the USS Carl Vinson Aircraft carrier from August 1985 until August 1989. It was during his station in Alameda that he met and married the love of his life, Belinda Brown Pruitt. They lived in the East Bay for several years prior to moving to Folsom in 1999, which is when Tommy "retired" to become a house husband. This is when Tommy realized one of his true passions, cooking. Tommy truly enjoyed being a homemaker. He loved throwing parties and cooking for his family and friends. He loved their home and often said it was his sanctuary. Tommy loved to watch sports, especially baseball, football and basketball. He loved his NY Yankees, Oakland Raiders and LA Lakers. He enjoyed sharing his love for sports with his nephew Seth. Tommy doted on his beloved dogs. His favorite shirts were the t-shirts he had with pictures of Chip, Dale and Holly B. Tommy had one daughter, Tara whom he loved dearly. Even though they did not spend as much time together as they would have liked, you could tell that they were truly father and daughter. He deeply loved his family and friends and will be missed by all that knew him.
