Veronica Virginia Ramirez of El Dorado Hills, California, passed away September 6, 2023, at the age of 48, after a 20-month battle with cancer. Veronica was born on January 14, 1975, in La Ciudad de Nezahualcoyotl, Mexico, to Jovita Ortiz Mota and Juan Antelmo Rodriguez Gonzalez. Veronica attended the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) until 1999, studying Business Administration. She later married Miguel on May 27, 2000, in the Los Angeles LDS temple and have resided in the Sacramento area since 2007.\n \nVeronica was a loving, gracious and generous friend to all who knew her. Her greatest joy was raising her beautiful children with her husband. She loved her faith in her Savior Jesus Christ, her family, and her friends. She enjoyed serving in church responsibilities and working as a Special Aide Teacher’s Assistant in recent years. She was especially happy when able to spend time doing karaoke, taking long walks, playing and singing in a rock band, traveling to Mexico, visiting historic sites, and spending as much time with family and friends as possible. She will be remembered for her hugs, beautiful cheerful smile, and positivity when around others. She always made other feel welcome and loved by smiling at them and giving them heart-felt hugs. She will be greatly missed. Thank you for the great memories we created together and for sharing your life with us. Thank you for being our pillar of strength when everything else was trembling. Until we meet again…\n \nA viewing will be held from 9-10 AM on Friday, August 15, 2023, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel, at 1275 Green Valley Rd, El Dorado Hills, California. This will be immediately followed by a funeral ceremony at 10:00 AM at the same location. Burial will occur immediately thereafter at Green Valley Cemetery, in Rescue, CA.\n \nShe is survived by her husband, Miguel, her sons Aldo (21), Alan (19), and Andre (12), and daughter Anel (14), her mother Jovita Ortiz, her father, Juan Rodriguez, and her siblings, Tania Scott (Daniel) and Beto Popocatepetl (Kate).
