Walter Anthony Johnson, also known as Butch, died on January 7, 2017 at the age of 66 in his home due to heart failure. Butch was born on May 2, 1950 and was a resident of El Dorado County since 1979. He worked as an electrical and general contractor and was the owner of Johnson Electric and Construction. He graduated from Central Catholic High School, class of '68, in Great Falls, Montana. During his life, he enjoyed many activities such as scuba diving, boating, fishing, skiing, and golf. He was also a passionate poker player and loved to ride his motorcycle. Butch is survived by his wife, Barbara Johnson; two children, Ryan and Joanne Johnson; and his three sisters, Elaine Kinney, Chris Ray, and Linda Jones. He is preceded in death by his parents, Amelia and Walter Johnson of Washington State. The funeral will be held January 22, 2017 at the Green Valley Mortuary & Cemetery, located in Rescue, CA. The family will receive friends between 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. and the service will follow. Contributions in memory of Butch may be made to the International OCD Foundation.
