Wayne Arthur Farrens, Sr. - affectionately known as W.A. or Dub - passed away in his home on September 25, 2015. W.A. was a man of many talents and loved his family with all that he had. He is survived by his five children, Tonya Farrens, Farrah Wardlaw, Melody Farrens, Wayne Farrens, Jr. and Sierra Farrens. He had just recently been blessed with his first granddaugher, Naomi Skye Wardlaw. W.A. was always the very proud and protective brother to his three surviving sisters, Ardy Gibson, Leanna Nail and Betty Sandoval. After finishing high school, he joined the Army. Upon completion, he received an honorable discharge and launched his professional music career. His glory days of touring all over the country with his friends/bandmates has always been his favorite topic of stories. He absolutely loved his time as a musician, rock star and charismatic front man/drummer of the Neighb'rhood Childr'n. He had a good deal of success touring and then opened his own music stores in Southern Oregon called, Toad Music. With his new family life chapter coming into play, he hung up his artsy life and then revved up his businessman life. He was incredibly liked, respected and revered in his chosen field and touched many lives, especially that of his beloved children. W.A.'s two passions, adventure and family, were best embodied in the annual Farrens Family Adventures - trips across North America with the five kids. So many incredible memories... thanks, Dad. He is deeply loved and sorely missed. A celebration of life will be held on November 21, 2015. More details to come.
